Everyday I work to engage our current supporters and look for new opportunities for partnerships across the state. We have a strong group of members representing hundreds of thousands of kids across the state of Texas, but do we have your voice? Is your community getting heard? - We give testimony almost everyday around many different issues facing Texas children. We speak on behalf of our members who empower us to represent them and the children they serve. We work with members to get them to Capitol to advocate directly to their policymakers; however we know this is not always easy. You are more than likely short-staffed, under resourced and generally don’t have time to give to advocate at the state level. We understand and want to be your voice to ensure that children are made a top priority in Texas. Join us today and empower us to share your concerns too.
- Paid lobbyists are at the Capitol every day. Shouldn’t you be? While you may not be able to make it there in person, we work everyday to combat special interests that support policies that could adversely affect Texas kids. - We need your help. When we visit the Capitol, we are told by policymakers and agency representatives how programs are working and how communities are faring. What we learn is many times these conversations represent what should be happening but are not necessarily the reality of the situation. Your feedback helps us to respond and give real life examples of successful programs or systems that are not necessarily working in the way which they were intended.
