Sibley Hawkins
Special Events and Membership Intern
|
 | Sibley supports our membership program, communications, and events. Originally from Houston, she is in her third year at the University of Texas, where she studies psychology and Spanish. She has done extensive research on children’s issues and juvenile justice issues, both in Texas and in Latin America. She also spent a semester studying Spanish in Seville, Spain. Since being in Austin, Sibley has served every semester as a tutor for bilingual children within Austin ISD elementary schools.
Fun fact about Sibley: A tetherball champion in her day, Sibley swears it was accidental that day on the playground’s tetherball court when she broke a teacher’s nose.
