Nicole Trinh
Public Policy Intern

Nicole supports Texans Care’s policy work in juvenile justice. She was born and raised in the southeast part of Houston, where her family settled after leaving Vietnam in 1975. Nicole received a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin and served as UT’s Student Body Vice President. Nicole was a Legislative Policy Intern for Texas Senator Judith Zaffirini and was the Education and Outreach Intern for the U.S. Public Service Academy in Washington D.C. She is currently a second-year Master’s candidate at the LBJ School of Public Affairs.

Fun fact about Nicole: In her earliest years, family members had an affectionate nickname for little Nicole, based on her one-time baby fat. On a trip to the pediatrician as a toddler, she told the doctor what she believed was the answer when he asked her name: "Chunk.”
