Kristina Salinas
Regional Coordinator

Krissy is responsible for Texans Care’s outreach work, from our community advocacy trainings to our day at the Capitol to helping youth learn to advocate for themselves. Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, she received her B.A. in English from Texas A&M International University. She has a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Community and Administrative Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin. She began working with Texans Care as a policy intern prior to becoming our regional coordinator. Before coming to Texans Care, she worked with children at Communities in Schools, in the AmeriCorps program, and as a summer camp leader and dance instructor.

Fun fact about Krissy: Even as a tot, Krissy had nurturing tendencies that earned her the nickname "Mom.”
