Ken Holley
Volunteer Extraordinaire
Ken supports our community engagement work and is a regular presence here in the Texans Care office. Born and raised in Waco, Texas, Ken received his B.A. in history from Southwestern University in Georgetown. He has a master's degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from the University of Houston and a principal's certification from Tarleton University. He has worked as a teacher, coach, and administrator at schools throughout the state for 36 years. Most recently, Ken was an administrator at  Shoemaker High School in Killeen. Over 80% of Shoemaker students are children of active military personnel, and Ken helped students through many trying times that impacted military families, following 9/11 and the launch of the Iraq war.

Fun fact about Ken: As a child, Ken loved to throw rocks, sometimes at inappropriate targets. Recently, he got into trouble for showing his young grandson how to throw rocks, too.
