|
 | Josette has been with Texans Care since 2004, focusing on early childhood and mental health issues. She leads our Texas Children’s Mental Health Forum. Prior to joining Texans Care, she worked as a group facilitator and counselor for a school-based youth enrichment program and as a development associate for a nonprofit organization that serves families in crisis and provides residential care for children in need. She also previously served as a legislative intern and as a policy intern for Texans Care. Josette has a B.A. in Psychology from West Chester University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.
Fun fact about Josette: Despite a childhood memory of being chased by a 400-pound hog running loose in her neighborhood, Josette still has a distinct fondness for pigs.
