Family Financial Security Promise Fund

Because we know each child brings promise for our state, we focus our work around five promise areas for Texas: child and maternal health, child protection, child mental wellbeing, juvenile justice, and family financial security. As a donor to Texans Care for Children, you can choose to allocate your gift to a promise fund to ensure that your gift is used to fulfill the promise to Texas children that is most important to you. With your promise fund donation, you can receive special updates regarding Family Financial Security. Your tax-deductible donation will help us continue the work we have been doing for 25 years to ensure that children become Texas' first priority.

Your gift will be used to support Texans Care's campaign to lift Texas children out of poverty. Your contribution supports our research into the practices and policies that make the biggest difference in fighting poverty and creating long-term economic security for families.

Your donation also supports our Poverty and Economic Security Roundtable, a monthly forum that brings together experts, financial institutions, state officials, parents, and community leaders to address issues that hold some families back from reaching their economic potential. From strengthening safety-net services for children, such as food stamps, to exploring innovative new approaches that help families save, invest, and thrive, the Roundtable focuses on reversing longstanding trends that have challenged our state's impoverished communities.

You also help us get the word out about effective family financial security solutions for Texas in a way that our state leaders respond to, so real policy change can happen. Your gift ensures not only that we can be a voice for children on important financial security issues, it also allows us to train others to advocate for better economic protections for children—getting out the message in the Texas media, in local communities, and to elected and agency leaders throughout Texas that family financial security is a priority for Texans.
