In many parts of the world, December 1 is not only World AIDS Day but the Day of the Child, a time for national media to shine a light on the campaign to fight child abuse. While Texans Care for Children believes stopping child abuse is a 365-day-a-year job, we welcome attention to the issue. South Carolina-based Darkness to Light is a national organization working specifically on the prevention of childhood sexual abuse, and the group's website and blog offer some great resources for parents and advocates.
