Covering Children in Health Reform Debate a Priority - Wednesday, November 18, 2009
|
|
Affordable coverage for children and families is a priority of the American people in the national health reform debate, according to a poll reported by the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute's Center on Children and Families (CCF). According to CCF's Joe Touschner, "Through the poll, we found that for voters affordability for families outweighed federal deficit concerns by a 2-1 margin--a strong and important finding amidst an upswing in media coverage focused on the federal cost of reform. We also found that a large number of families expressed significant financial suffering as they struggle to pay health care bills and maintain coverage." Learn more >> |
